The annual junior membership fee for under 15 year olds is only £25 which includes all the following benefits:-
* Affiliated fees to Durham County Golf Union and England Golf (including EG insurance whilst on the course)
* Group tuition - equipment can be provided
* Over the golfing season:-
- skills competition (on the practice ground, driving, chipping, bunker, putting and par 3 hole)
- on the course competition (9 hole short course)
* Bar card for discounted drinks
* Discounted range balls
If you have a child under 15 and would like them to join a progressive club who nuture each junior member throughout their golfing journey, please contact Julie Lapping, Club Secretary, who can put you in touch with a member of the Junior Committee for more information.
All new juniors must be accompanied by an adult whilst on the golf course until the golf professional can assess competency to play unsupervised.
We had a great turnout for the annual junior presentation night on Friday 8th November. BGC runs a highly successful junior section catering for all ages and standards. We are very proud of the achievements of our junior members this year and wish to congratulate everyone who took part in the different coaching, activities and team matches. Thanks to the Junior Committee, Professionals and parents/grandparents who have all contributed to a very successful year.
BGC celebrated the success of it's Junior Section at the annual prize presentation tonight. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all our junior members, their parents, grandparents and club officials for the fantastic support of the section throughout the 2023 golfing season.
