BGC 2022 Charity

The Gents & Ladies Captains have announced that together they will both support a great local charity for 2022. Mark & Laura have confirmed that the charity they have chosen is Vision 25.

As a company, Vision25 are driven by an ultimate goal; for all young adults to be as independent as possible by fully including them in all aspects of the community.

The company aims are to promote independence through a ‘Developing Skills for Life’ programme, for our young adults to participate in work experience and volunteering to gain valuable work skills. To integrate its members into the local community & wider communities as much as possible to promote social inclusion and to promote health and well-being.

They are led by a Chief Executive Officer, who brings with her vast experience of working with special needs. Alongside her is a dedicated and highly skilled staff team and volunteers who share her vision. All their staff are enhanced DBS checked. Their entire team are keen to welcome young adults aged 17 years+ to offer their meaningful aims through an array of enrichment activities.

Support provided to every young adult will be tailored and personalised. This will develop new skills, whilst focusing on their strengths, rather than being defined by their weaknesses. Working directly with young adults will allow them to voice concerns, opinions and preferences on activities and services available to them.

Their intention is to help young adults develop independent living skills throughout their time at Vision25. This will be achieved by participating in activities both at the centre and within the local community.
